CYPRESS, CA: Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA has named Mark Scott PR manager. Previously with the Harbor-UCLA Research and Education Institute as a communications director, Scott has also served as PR manager for UniHealth America. In his new post, Scott will manage national PR activities for several Mitsubishi Electric business groups, including telecom and digital electronics.

WASHINGTON, DC: Lockheed Martin IMS has named Kathleen Dezio VP of

communications. A 15-year industry veteran, she was most recently SVP of

corporate communications at Sunrise Assisted Living.





BOSTON: Miller Consulting Group has brought on three new senior

staffers. Barbara Gail Warden, previously director of marketing/branding

at Pivotpoint, joins as a director, while Elizabeth Parish and Stephanie

Solakian have been named program supervisors. Parish arrives from

Edelman, while Solakian was formerly director of PR for Arnold

Communications.





MURRAY HILL, NJ: The Dun & Bradstreet Operating Company has promoted

Bill Summers to VP of global communications, a role in which he will

handle media relations, employee and financial communications, and

government and community affairs.





MILPITAS, CA: Solectron has tapped Kevin Whalen as VP of corporate

communications. Previously VP of the tech and IR practice in Shandwick’s

Minneapolis outpost, Whalen effectively fills the vacancy created when

Michael Donner departed for Nexgenix last December.





HOUSTON: Helen Vollmer has assumed the title of CEO at Vollmer PR as a

result of growth-related restructuring. The firm also promoted Carolyn

Levy to president and Allen Caudle to COO, and named Denisha Stevens

interim GM of Vollmer’s 15-person Dallas office.





DALLAS: Keg Restaurants, a Vancouver-based steakhouse chain, has picked

Ketchum to build brand awareness and handle media relations in the

Dallas/Fort Worth area. Keg plans to open several restaurants in the

region and in other US markets beginning with a Fort Worth location this

fall.





FORT WORTH: Sabre Holdings has hired 17-year Texas Instruments vet

Leslie Price as SVP of corporate communications. Price, formerly TI’s

strategic communications VP, replaces Barbara Kieker, who started her

own consultancy this spring.





NEW YORK: iSolve Incorporated, a b-to-b marketplace for surplus

inventory, has named Ruder Finn agency of record. EVP Robert Dowling and

VP Alicia Dollard will head up the account team.





NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has appointed EVP/GM Helen Ostrowski to its

nine-member board of directors.
