Boyds, MD: The Maryland SoccerPlex has hired PR firm Sports Wave

The agency will handle media relations and event PR for the next year on behalf of the new 162-acre complex in a DC suburb. Opening October 6, the complex will host tournaments, including an upcoming one later next month between teams of older Japanese and US soccer players. 'We want to brand the SoccerPlex as the premiere complex in the country,' said Trisha Heffelfinger, executive director of the Maryland Soccer Federation (MSF), which sponsored the construction.
