LONDON: Coca-Cola GB has put its Coca-Cola and Diet Coke brands and corporate PR in the UK up for review.

The news comes after Britvic announced last month that the UK consumer PR for Pepsi and Tango is up for grabs.

Incumbents Cohn & Wolfe, which handles Coke's consumer PR, and Clarion Communications, working on corporate, are both in the running for the account.

However, at least one - if not both - of the agencies will lose out as Coca-Cola seeks to appoint a single agency to work across the entire brief.

Andrew Coker, communications director, said the process was at a very early stage - although conflicting rumors suggest a shortlist may already be drawn up.

Coker said, foremost, the company was looking for local, creative talent.

'We want the most creative people to work on our communications,' he said. He is keen for the new agency to promote Coke's extensive community involvement.

The review is being undertaken separately from the pounds 40 million review of Coke's ad agencies, as PR works from a different budget.
