SAN FRANCISCO: Looking to beef up its West Coast health and medical practice, Ogilvy PR has hired healthcare marketing veteran Caryl Rosner as an SVP in the San Francisco office.

Rosner, who previously ran her own healthcare PR consulting firm, will oversee all of Ogilvy's current SF-based health and medical accounts, which include WebMD and iScribe, and also will lead new business efforts.

As an independent consultant, Rosner serviced such clients as Blue Shield of CA, LifeHelper.com and WellCall, an online b-to-b health education and referral service. Previously, Rosner worked for United Behavioral Health as VP of marketing services and communications, and in a similar position for Medco Behavioral Health. For both, she managed communications and new-business development.

Early in her career, Rosner worked for a SF boutique agency as an account supervisor with clients in retail, real estate and hospitality.

Ogilvy has added two more members to the SF health and medical practice: account supervisor Kimberly Bowes Westhoff, formerly communications manager for the Foundation of the American Academy of Opthamology, and account exec Mary Yee, who was previously a PR associate at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
