The IPRA awards presented at PR World Congress

CHICAGO: The Florida Tobacco Pilot Program and Porter Novelli last week won the International Public Relations Association Golden World Awards Grand Prix for Excellence for its anti-tobacco Florida 'Truth' campaign.

CHICAGO: The Florida Tobacco Pilot Program and Porter Novelli last week won the International Public Relations Association Golden World Awards Grand Prix for Excellence for its anti-tobacco Florida 'Truth' campaign.

The annual IPRA awards were presented at the Public Relations World Congress 2000 held on October 22-24 in Chicago.

Fleishman-Hillard, along with the Wheat Foods Council, won the IPRA Research Award for excellence in the preparation and conduct of a program's research component for its campaign 'Grains - Harvest the Energy.'

The Frontline 21 Award honoring a program in an emerging PR market by an emerging PR firm was given to Avtobank and Communication Group AMK in Moscow for its campaign 'to improve the insurance culture of the public.'

The IPRA United Nations Award went to ITF and SPEM Communications Group in Slovenia for its campaign 'To Heal the Wounds of Earth and Soul.' The award is given to a program that advances the social causes of importance to the United Nations.
