InsightFarm, a new company introduced at the Public Relations World Congress 2000, will provide news and PR monitoring and analysis to corporations and PR shops. In addition, the firm will make recommendations for communications strategies and measure corporate reputations using guidelines developed by the Council of Public Relations Firms.

Burrelle's, a privately held company, would not disclose how much it is investing in the start-up or what InsightFarm will charge for its services.

Bruce Jeffries-Fox, chairman of PRSA's commission for public relations management and evaluation, joined InsightFarm as EVP on September 1 to direct its 10-person staff and freelancers. He previously served as corporate and PR research director at AT&T.

InsightFarm has already been providing basic media monitoring for about 400 companies but now will begin selling analysis as well, said Jeffries-Fox.
