LAST CALL: Lazio reps catch rival's telltale typo

Is it a vast left-wing conspiracy or a proofreader with a lazy spell-checker finger? You, the reader, must decide.

The folks at the Lazio campaign (remember the election?) found a 'typo' in their rival's disclosure forms with the Federal Election Commission.

It seems a dollars 1,000 contribution from Abdurahman Alamoudi, secretary of the American Muslim Council - a group whose help would prove a hindrance to Hillary Clinton's campaign - was listed as coming from someone in the 'American Museum Council'.

Lazio's spokespeople jumped at the chance to accuse Clinton of trying to hide a questionable contribution. Her campaign naturally wrote it off as a simple mistake.

We're personally disappointed that Lazio's people couldn't simply spin a scandal out of a contribution from The American Museum Council.

After all, if any organization has skeletons in its closet ...
