ELECTION 2000: LaForce & Stevens commission pizza portraits
The most inventive PR practitioners jumped on the elections as a way to get their clients in the news. LaForce & Stevens commissioned a series of presidential pizza portraits to resemble Al Gore, George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton. The agency delivered pies made with California Pizza Kitchen ingredients to newsrooms - and found the media hungry for the information. NBC Today and Fox News picked up the story that was handed to them on a plate. The only problem for journalists? Selecting just the right toppings.
