NEW YORK: ABC News has hired a new director of media relations, Todd Polkes, who joins from Time magazine. Polkes reports to VP media relations Jeffrey Schneider, who joined in September from talent agency William Morris. Schneider replaced Eileen Murphy, now at News Corp, while Polkes takes his post from Sonya McNair who is now at Primedia's Channel One.
