BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: Microsoft has handed its new senior corporate affairs post for Europe to former European Commission adviser Jacques Lafitte.
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: Microsoft has handed its new senior corporate affairs post for Europe to former European Commission adviser Jacques Lafitte.
Lafitte will initially head a team of eight, with plans to recruit more.
He will work with the business and institutional communications departments on IT-related issues and the public policies that guide them.
Reporting to John Frank, senior director of the law and corporate affairs team, Lafitte will be based in Brussels.
Microsoft Europe chairman emeritus Bernard Vergnes said: 'We have an opportunity to expand the scope of Microsoft's participation in European affairs and Jacques' experience will be of great benefit.'
