TROY, MI: Kmart has created the new position of chief marketing officer, and has put former Coca-Cola executive Brent Willis in the post.
Willis, who had been president of a division of Coke's Latin American operations, will take charge of Kmart's marketing, communications, advertising and brand development.
His appointment follows that of Chuck Conaway to CEO in June, and a subsequent change of advertising agencies to TBWA/Chiat/Day.
It is not clear if Willis' arrival will have an impact on the firm's PR operations.
Kmart uses Kekst & Company as its corporate and IR agency of record.
