LAST CALL: Trust Microsoft to delete the archive

After a year like this one, Microsoft might be forgiven a little historical revisionism. But would you believe that the Redmond bruiser has forgotten entirely its little foray into the arena of antitrust law?

A year-end retrospective on the company's Web site for media rehashed even the blandest tidbits of corporate minutiae, while somehow neglecting to mention the unfortunate little spat with the feds that will likely split the Juggernaut that Bill Gates built in two.

Accentuate the positive. It's the oldest PR trick in the book. But Geek-in-Chief Gates can only hope historians are as sloppy in their account of Microsoft.
