BSMG hires Brain as chief executive

LONDON: BSMG Worldwide has appointed David Brain, one-time managing director for Burson-Marsteller's European marketing practice, as CEO of BSMG's expanding UK operations.

LONDON: BSMG Worldwide has appointed David Brain, one-time managing director for Burson-Marsteller's European marketing practice, as CEO of BSMG's expanding UK operations.

Brain replaces Nan Williams, who quit the firm last fall. He was most recently brand and communications director at online marketplace eLogistics, managing investor relations, marketing and brand communications. He will continue in an advisory role.

At BSMG, Brain will report to Tim Sutton, chairman of European operations.

BSMG promoted Pamela Fieldhouse from board director to become Brain's deputy chief executive.

Fieldhouse, a principal in the company, joined BSMG in 1989 and has spent her entire career there.

BSMG has four offices in the UK, in Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London. The firm has 170 UK employees and posts pounds 14 million (dollars 23.1 million) in annual fee income for the UK.
