LAST CALL: 'Snatch' star fails to deliver his lines

Madonna may be the queen of self-promotion, but Vinnie Jones, an actor in her husband Guy Ritchie's new film Snatch, couldn't manage to shoehorn the name of the movie into a recent appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Jones, an English soccer player-turned actor, plays Bullet Tooth Tony, a tough guy for rent.

Letterman mentioned the movie during Jones' introduction, but Jones himself stuck to the topics of his groin grabbin' soccer days and cricket, while avoiding any mention of the film, which also stars Brad Pitt.

Tracy McArdle, VP of publicity at Screen Gems, Snatch's US distributor, firmly denied Jones' gaffe and would only be quoted as saying: 'We're very pleased with his appearance. He did really well on the show.'

Jones had better learn how to score publicity points fast ... before his media tour gets snatched.
