Peter McDonough, former communications director to then-NJ governor and now director of the Environmental Protection Agency Christie Todd Whitman, is coming on board at the agency's New Jersey office in a newly created role. Though he has not been assigned a formal title yet, Chairman Jim McQueeny says he will be handling national public affairs and PR accounts.

Jamie Fox, former executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and ex-aide to Senator Robert G. Torricelli (D-NJ), is taking over the firm's Washington, DC office.

McQueeny said both hires 'personify the knowledge of journalism that is necessary to be able to deal quickly, truthfully and with credibility. And their government service helps them understand how to approach decision-makers and public constituencies.'

WSC is a combination PR, government relations and advertising shop with estimated PR fee income of dollars 4.5 million in 2000.
