The company responsible for AskOJ.com and VoyeurDorm.com has applied to the Federal Bureau of Prisons for the right to Webcast the execution, 'because our entire country wants closure on this terrible event,' said ENI president David Marshlack.

So far the offer has generated little reaction. A Reuters search revealed it was only picked up by the UK's sensationalist tabloid, The Daily Star; the New York Daily News, which ran a back-of-book story and Marshlack was interviewed about it on Fox's Hannity and Colmes.

ENI has offered to charge only dollars 1.95 to view, with proceeds donated to families of the bombing victims.

Marshlack claimed this was not a PR stunt, but appeared to contradict himself when he told PRWeek: 'I am in it for the public awareness. It's more important to prove that we can pull off an event this large.'

ENI now plans to sue the Bureau of Prisons for not responding to its request.

ENI's PR agency, Resource Media, remains optimistic. 'Traditional press coverage starts big-time three weeks out from an event,' said Resource AE Ellie Reeve. Unfortunately, ENI's February 21 press release on PR Newswire got the date of the execution wrong, saying it was March 16.
