Touchstone Energy seeks PR support

WASHINGTON: In the increasingly deregulated market, more than 550

electric cooperatives have joined forces to form Touchstone Energy,

which will provide customers with 'a superior power source.' The new

alliance is seeking a PR firm.

An RFP is doing the rounds for the account, which is said to be worth

close to dollars 500,000, according to an agency that declined to

pitch.

The goal is to communicate 'the unique characteristics that convey the

special nature of cooperatives.'
