Fitability tool cuts recruitment costs

ATLANTA: Fitability Systems has developed an online initial

interview process and personality test that can help PR firms save money

when recruiting employees in the tightening economy.



'With the onslaught of resumes firms are getting today, this helps

filter out people who are not likely to be compatible,' said Regi

Campbell, CEO of Fitability.



PR firms can create their own online interview forms for various jobs

and then refer candidates to Fitability's Web site (www.fitability.com)

to complete the interview and take the personality test. Fitability

maintains a library of 750 personality types and job descriptions, which

can be customized by users.



The cost is dollars 50 per online interview initially, but drops as

firms use the site more frequently.



Interviewing a candidate face-to-face can cost anywhere from dollars 300

to dollars 2,000 depending on travel expenses, Campbell explained,

adding that his system's personality test should cut down on job

turnover by predicting a prospective employee's compatibility with a

given job.



The Council of Public Relations Firms last year developed its own

personality test for potential PR job candidates, designed to help

assess suitability of candidates from other professions who wanted to

switch to PR.
