How long have you been in your job? Almost five years at the agency

encompassing work on 13 clients, two new office openings, the addition

of 75 people to the NRX list, the entire dot-com run-up and fallout,

creation of five 'New Economy' publications, 20-plus books on

entrepreneurship, three 20-something CEOs, prefixes 'e-' and 'i-' and

the favorite mid-cap, two postponed IPOs, five corporate name changes,

e-mail rolodex expansion from 20 to 600, and three M&A deals. All the

way from 'push' to present trends. Whew!

Describe the space you work in Bird's-eye view of the titillating south

San Francisco marina. A million snaps of travels abroad and parties with

colleagues. Partial office entropy.

How comfortable are your offices? Philippe Starck Interior Design is not

a line item in our budget.

How often are you still there when the cleaners come round?

Mi espanol esta mejorando mucho.

What is the best thing about working there? Being an insider.

And the worst thing? There's not a single smoothie joint in the entire

zip code, and I can do nothing about it.

What's been your biggest mistake while working there? Not selling AOL at

dollars 190.

And your luckiest break? A 10-minute pitch that landed a b-to-b client

in the Fortune 'Cool Companies' issue in my first year of practice.

What is the biggest thing to hit your office in the past year?

Rolling blackouts.

Sneak us a good piece of gossip from your office I don't peddle

gossip ... I'm a PR professional, don't cha know!
