Things are getting interesting in the world of teen divadom.
Christina Aguilera - who is rumored to have recently upped both her bra
cup and the number of body piercings - looks to be making another move
on reigning pop princess Britney Spears. Just as Spears' racy new TV
spots for Pepsi debuted last week, reports surfaced in the British
tabloids that the petite, peroxided songbird had signed a similar
endorsement deal with Coca-Cola to promote the soda in the US and Latin
Coke spokesperson Ben Deutsch confirmed that the company has enlisted
Aguilera to hawk its wares, but he noted, 'She was already signed last
year for Latin America and now we are talking to her about doing things
in the US'
If Coke seems to be following in Pepsi's marketing footsteps, it will be
interesting to see who the company signs to play the Bob Dole role in
the latter's current commercial - i.e., the lecherous old man drooling
over the nubile teen on-screen. Word has it Bill Clinton has a bit of
free time these days.
