As Last Call predicted two weeks ago, it seems that our Smooch C.
Reynolds and Bob Rumerman are indeed not the only people in PR with
wonderfully appropriate names.
An e-mail arrived last week from Joanne Schellenbach, who is the
national director of media relations for the American Cancer Society.
'So what?' you may ask. Well, as this 30-year PR veteran explains, her
maiden name was Spinner.
Another came from Joe Cohen, an exec at MWW Group. 'We have a terrific
candidate,' he wrote. 'A media relations specialist who crafts and
implements PR campaigns for MWW's corporate technology practice.' His
name? Matthew Messenger. As in, 'don't shoot the...,'we ask?
