Kodak seeks PR agency to focus on InfoImaging

ROCHESTER, NY: Eastman Kodak is looking for a PR agency to promote

its major new InfoImaging business strategy. The initiative aims to

ensure that Kodak capitalizes on the growing popularity amongst

consumers of digital photography.

Company literature touts InfoImaging as a dollars 225 billion industry

divided into three categories: infrastructure, such as imaging software;

implementation, such as printers and digital cameras; and services, such

as document preservation.

Anthony Sanzio, Kodak's director of technology PR, said InfoImaging is

considered critical to the company and PR will reflect the changing

nature of Kodak, as well as promote the overall idea of InfoImaging.

'Kodak is transforming itself and we want to communicate that to the

outside world in an overarching campaign,' said Sanzio. 'Everything we

do and every product we introduce will support InfoImaging.'

Kodak has already launched TV ads linking the company brand with digital


Citigate Cunningham and Weber Shandwick Worldwide, both of which already

handle some Kodak business, have been invited to pitch for the


Fleishman-Hillard and Ogilvy have also returned the RFP. According to

Sanzio, the firms will present oral presentations over the next few

weeks with a final decision expected by mid-May.
