LAST CALL: Press secretary Ari Fleischer is stalked

Surely Ari Fleischer expected to be hounded, pestered and pursued

when he accepted a job as President Bush's press secretary - but not,

perhaps, by the general public. Now, barely three months into his

tenure, this regular guy from Westchester, NY has entered the exclusive

province of mega-stars like Madonna, David Letterman and Jodie Foster,

with his very own stalker.

Seems Fleischer arrived home on April 9 and found 31-year-old Mei-Ling

Lin standing outside his front door. Though the two had apparently never

met, Lin insisted they were friends. She then reportedly began making

'bizarre sounds' when Fleischer went inside and shut the door.

For the next two weeks Lin followed and harassed Fleischer. The

Cambridge, MA native was finally arrested at 11pm on April 24 after

refusing to stop ringing Fleischer's doorbell.

In a related story, Lin has yet to comment on the honorary membership

offered her by the White House Press Corps.
