INTERNATIONAL NEWS: MS&L appointed agency of record for Denmark'slargest industrial group

NEW YORK: Manning Selvage & Lee has been selected as the first

agency of record for Danfoss' US operations, a move that will help the

company boost its profile here.

Danfoss is the largest industrial group in Denmark, with annual sales of

dollars 2 billion, and 17,000 employees operating in 21 countries.

In spite of its size and the fact that it has manufacturing operations

in the US, Danfoss is not well known here.

'Because Danfoss has purposely kept a low profile in the US and in other

parts of the world, there will be an effort to introduce it to the

public,' said Rob Shapiro, MS&L SVP.

'We will be working on trade and business media relations, executive

visibility, arranging speaking engagements and client counseling.'

Shapiro said the MS&L team will also consult closely with Danfoss'

management team in Denmark, including Jorgen M. Clausen, group president

and CEO.

MS&L has already arranged for Clausen to speak at Forbes' CEO conference

this June in Scottsdale, AZ.

Danfoss is known as a proponent of efficient manufacturing processes in

order to reduce consumption and protect the environment.

The company produces a range of air-conditioning and refrigeration

products, including thermostats, compressors, condensing units and

electronic valves.
