NEW YORK: Euro RSCG Worldwide is attempting to increase cooperation
between its 221 agencies and the diverse skills they offer, and has
promoted Margaret Wagner to the new position of director of integrated
Wagner, who was previously director of marketing services, said her
position was created to help Euro RSCG clients negotiate the company's
network of 221 agencies - 30 of which were acquired in the past few
years and 25 of which are PR firms. Wagner also said Euro RSCG plans to
continue its acquisition push this year and to expect more PR buys.
'PR is a key area of growth for us and our commitment will be seen in
the way we use it for our clients more aggressively than before,' said
Wagner said the company will look to its current client base for new
business and will encourage work across communications disciplines.
Wagner will report directly to Bob Schmetterer, chairman and CEO of Euro
The company has also promoted Lisa Fabiano to the new position of SVP,
Euro RSCG Worldwide. Fabiano will oversee worldwide network
Previously Fabiano was network development director and chief of staff
for Euro RSCG Worldwide.
Euro RSCG's flagship US PR agency, Middleberg Euro RSCG, has offices in
New York and San Francisco. The 120-person firm has grown 72% in the
past year, increasing its revenue by more than 8.2 million, from dollars
11.3 million in 1999 to dollars 19.6 million in 2000. Havas, Euro RSCG's
parent company, has no other solid PR network.
