The Rhoads Group gets new partner and name in Maguire

WASHINGTON: The Rhoads Group will get a new partner and a new name

next month. Frank Maguire, a top aide to House Majority Whip Tom DeLay

(R-TX), will arrive June 1, at which time the agency will become The

Rhoads Maguire Group.

Part of The Interpublic Group's extended Washington, DC family, the

government affairs shop operates under the umbrella of the Cassidy

Companies, which specializes in defense and aerospace issues. Maguire

will lead the agency's tax and finance practice.

"Frank brings a depth of knowledge about the way Washington works that

few people can offer," said Gerry Cassidy, chairman and CEO of the

Cassidy Companies. Maguire has also been a staff member of the House

Banking Committee and a federal legislative representative for the

American Bankers Association.

Representative DeLay said that he and his staff will "miss our

day-to-day contact with Frank as he assumes his new role. But we look

forward to his continued involvement in the federal government process."
