NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has made its first acquisition since

its purchase by marketing services giant WPP. The agency is buying

British-based PR firm Communique. The 35 strong company had revenues of

pounds 2.8 million and 38% growth last year. The Manchester-based

company was founded in 1986 and will become a stand-alone unit, under

the aegis of Burson's UK CEO Allan Biggar.
