Microsoft picks Joe Public Relations

NEW YORK: Microsoft has picked Joe Public Relations (JPR) as its

first agency of record for the Microsoft Hockey Challenge. The company's

hockey tradition began in 1998 with an internal match between US and

Canadian Microsoft Exchange employees. Now it includes a six-city tour

and corporate partners, raising money for the Ronald McDonald House and

Hockey's All-Star Kids. The event has raised more than dollars 2 million

for charities. JPR will work to publicize the tour and build

relationships with hockey groups including the National Hockey League.

(which they haven't bought - yet.)
