KANSAS CITY, MO: H&R Block has drawn up a PR agency shortlist
following a national RFP for its e-business arm.
The shortlist is expected to be finalized this week with a decision due
in early July. A budget for the account was not disclosed.
Fleishman-Hillard is the incumbent on the account and is pursuing the
business again, according to Neil Getzlow, H&R Block's manager of media
The company's e-business comprises online tax preparation and other Web
services, such as Tax Chat, which allows users to correspond with tax
This past tax season, H&R Block offered free Tax Chat sessions from
April 9 to April 16 through its Web site. The company also produces a
software product called Tax Cut.
