Democrats' new voice is Palmieri's

WASHINGTON: The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has found a new

mouthpiece in Jennifer Palmieri, formerly of the Clinton White House

press office.

Her new role, which she assumes July 10, makes her the de facto voice

for the entire Democratic party and, in turn, the primary heckler of its

Republican opponents.

Palmieri wore several hats during her time in the Clinton White House,

and was one of many staffers called before a grand jury to testify about

the relationship between Clinton and intern Monica Lewinsky. Palmieri

left the White House as deputy press secretary in the waning days of

Clinton's administration.

Palmieri replaces Jennifer Baccus, who last month left the DNC to become

press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
