CAREERS: Erin Conroy, account executive, Weber Shandwick Worldwide(St. Louis)

How long have you been in your job? 11 months.

Describe the space you work in I have my first-ever office with a door

on the 19th floor of a downtown high-rise. My window provides an amazing

view of Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. I can see and

hear the fireworks during day games, but have yet to figure out a way to

see inside the stadium to watch games from my desk. Once that's taken

care of, I just need to get the beer and nachos vendors up here.

Do you socialize with your colleagues? My eight-person team is pretty

close and we are constantly making each other laugh during the day with

both work and personal stories.

We also recently started a fitness challenge within our team. People who

stick to their exercise and nutrition goals each week get to take a

prize from the goodie box. I've never been to this alleged goodie box,

but I think it is somewhere in our hallway.

How comfortable are your offices? We could use some of those George

Costanza napping beds under the desks around here.

What's been your biggest mistake while working there? I would call it

more a learning experience than a mistake. Our office brought in a

self-defense expert to give a class to the women employees. I found the

information so valuable that I e-mailed it to 40 women friends. Well,

each of them must have forwarded it to 40 friends because, about three

days later, I began getting e-mails and phone calls from women all

across the country who had read my e-mail. I even received media

inquiries from a TV station in Texas, two local TV stations - one of

which ran a story - and a Canadian daily newspaper. The experience

taught me not to put anything in an e-mail unless I am comfortable with

the entire country reading it.

What is the biggest thing to hit your office in the past year? In

January, our parent company merged us with another PR agency, resulting

in a name and logo change and the necessity to find a use for all our

old business cards. On a completely separate note, I recently began

wallpapering my bedroom.
