Brio consolidates PR with Text 100

SANTA CLARA, CA: Outpitching five other firms, Text 100

International has won what is now its largest global account.



Brio Technology, a 650-person software company, decided to consolidate

its global PR to one large agency from 10 smaller ones worldwide after a

successful pan-Asian Text 100 project.



The two companies are still reviewing the contract, but Brio's acting

chief marketing officer Nikki Pope said the initial one-year deal will

be worth over $1 million. The retainer doesn't include special

projects, two of which Brio has already assigned.



Text 100 will manage the account out of its SF office. Thirty employees

- representing just over 7% of the global workforce - will handle Brio

from nine offices around the world.



Brio has also made in-house changes, hiring Brian Gentile as chief

marketing officer. He will work with Text 100 and Brio's in-house staff

of seven people in seven countries.
