PRWeek names new editor-in-chief

NEW YORK: PRWeek has appointed a new editor-in-chief as Adam

Leyland announced plans to return to the UK in the fall.

Jonah Bloom, who was deputy editor of PRWeek from 1998 to 1999 before

returning to the UK to launch Media Business, will return to the US to

lead PRWeek in early September.

Leyland launched PRWeek to critical acclaim in November 1998. The

magazine was a Gold Medal Winner at the Folio Editorial Excellence

Awards 2000.

"Adam has done an amazing job setting up PRWeek," said William Pecover,

Haymarket Media CEO. "With the brand firmly established in the hearts

and minds of a loyal and growing readership, he's decided that it's time

to move on. We will be sad to lose someone of his ability and passion,

but in Jonah, we have secured an editor who returns to the US with the

experience necessary to edit one of our most important magazines."

Julie Moore, PRWeek's publishing director, is also returning to the


She will join the main board of Haymarket Business Publishing, with

responsibility for Marketing and PrintWeek.

Lisa Kirk will succeed Moore.
