RICHMOND, VA: Tech start-up Dominion Telecom (DT) is expected to
announce that Virginia agencies Shea Hedges and the Borenstein Group
will handle its PR and advertising.
DT is an affiliated company of Dominion (NYSE-D), one of the country's
largest providers of energy, and provides broadband solutions to
wholesale customers throughout the Eastern US.
A spokesman for DT declined to reveal budget or any other information,
and added that the appointment of the two agencies will not be formally
announced until upper management has signed off on the selection.
Other agencies in the competition for the account were Richmond's Carter
Ryley Thomas, and Washington, DC advertising agency MDB Communications.
