WASHINGTON: Veteran Democratic PR consultant Anita Dunn has
temporarily taken the reigns in Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle's
(D-SD) press office, filling in for director of communications Ranit
Shmelzer is on maternity leave until the end of the year. At that point,
Dunn will return to Squier Knapp Dunn, the Democratic media consulting
firm in which she is a partner.
Dunn served as communications director for former Senator Bill Bradley's
2000 presidential campaign.
