Royal Mail US adds to Makovsky & Company's new business haul

NEW YORK: Makovsky & Company has won an estimated $1.2

million in new business with a host of clients signing on with the


Raymond James Financial Services, a full-service brokerage, has hired

the firm to raise visibility of its Capital Markets Group. The program

will include media relations and support at conferences.

Makovsky is also in the midst of planning media strategy to support an

autumn festival on behalf of a Canadian trade mission called Quebec In

New York, whose aim is to build bridges with New York businesses. Other

new clients include Ecornell (an e-learning group established by Cornell

University), Athens, Greece-based Stelmar Shipping (which hired Makovsky

to support a US road show), and Weiss Peck & Greer (an asset management


Also signing up are STM Wireless and Royal Mail, the North American

subsidiary of the British Post Office, which hired the firm to help


Makovsky said, "We recommend that interactive be a component of every

client's corporate plans."

Last month, Makovsky struck a strategic alliance with Direct Impact

Marketing to provide the firm's clients with marketing disciplines such

as customized e-mail marketing, viral marketing, and direct-mail
