Trump looks to build image - along with his new tower - in Chicago

CHICAGO: As prescribed by PRWeek (August 6), Donald Trump is

seeking PR help as he prepares to build a major new office tower in the

Windy City.

Trump is looking for government, community and business relations help

on his project and could select an agency within a few days to start

work in September.

Trump's real estate operations have sounded out Golin/Harris,

Burson-Marsteller and Jasculca/Terman, a Chicago public affairs

specialist firm.

Trump's recent announcement that he wants to build the world's tallest

building on the site of the present Chicago Sun-Times newspaper building

garnered jeers in the local press and a warning from Chicago's mayor

that the structure would have to meet the city's high architectural

design standards.

How much Trump plans to spend on Chicago PR and the length of the

engagement has not yet been finalized.

Jasculca likely has the inside track on the assignment if the major

emphasis is on government relations, while Golin has gone after the

account by trying to parlay the work it did to help the city attract

Boeing's headquarters.
