NEW YORK: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has pulled its new CFO
from Porter Novelli International. Jeffrey Herskowitz will replace Bill
Chess as Ogilvy's new CFO, and Chess will become Ogilvy's new COO.
Herskowitz will be based in New York, and will report to Bob Seltzer,
chairman and CEO.
As senior partner/COO of Porter Novelli since 1988, Herskowitz had been
a member of Porter Novelli's executive committee, responsible for the
firm's strategic business development, including mergers and
acquisitions and the development of the Latin American region.
Herskowitz will now join Ogilvy's executive committee, and will be
responsible for the firm's day-to-day financial operations, as well as
final implementation of a global financial system for the agency.
"Jeff's experience, which goes beyond financials, is ideally suited to
support our global network," said Seltzer in a statement.
Chess will be responsible for worldwide administrative functions,
including human resources and information technology. He has served as
Ogilvy CFO since 1993, when he rejoined the firm from Ogilvy & Mather
During his time at Ogilvy & Mather, he served as SVP of finance.
