NEW YORK: One of the closest pairings in PR history is coming to an
end: Liz Rosenberg had decided that she will no longer be the
spokeswoman for singer Madonna.
The two have been together since the beginning of Madonna's career.
Rosenberg has tackled all manner of thorny issues, from Madonna's
divorce from Sean Penn to the release of the book Sex.
It is said that the World Trade Center disaster was the catalyst for
Rosenberg's decision, making her realize that she wanted to do something
more meaningful. Rosenberg, who works at Warner Records, was quoted by
columnist Liz Smith as saying, "I decided I wasn't in a position to
sustain the emotional commitment necessary to stand between Madonna and
Rosenberg will continue to work at Warner Records with emerging
Jordana Steiner, a spokesperson for Madonna's agent, Caresse Henry in
Los Angeles, said, "We have not found a replacement. Liz is still
