Contrary to a report in the New York Post last week, PR firm Edward
Lozzi & Associates did not come up with the idea of raising $1
billion to hunt down the terrorists who attacked the US on September
11.
Lozzi has actually been hired by the top-secret group of telecom and
internet millionaires to do a feasibility study on making the fund
public and raising money from the American people to that end.
US News & World Report broke the story of the cabal, comprising major
contributors between the ages of 30 and 60 who want to take direct
action against the terrorists.
"They want to go after them, dead or alive, like the president said,"
Lozzi said. He also said that the group has already retained hit men to
take action. "That plan is in effect now."
Results from the feasibility study are still pending, but Lozzi said the
US News story generated interest.
"Since that happened, thousands of e-mails and calls have come in."
Lozzi said donations have even been offered from third- and
fifth-graders.
"It's a satisfying psychological thing for American vengeance," he
said.
"We were attacked for being evil capitalists, let's use it against
them."
