WASHINGTON: The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has
tapped Equals Three Communications to coordinate all its communications
functions for the next three years, a task worth $4.2 million to
the $7-million firm.
Equals Three will be responsible for support, evaluation, and
implementation of all NIMH's communications plans, including media
relations and publications.
The contract was formerly held by Porter Novelli, which chose not to
repitch.
The NIMH is the component of the National Institutes of Health charged
with researching and informing the public about mental disorders and how
best to treat them.
A 73-employee firm, Equals Three has no plans to hire more staff, though
principals have not ruled it out.
