SAN FRANCISCO: Investor relations website and conference-call
provider CCBN has announced plans for a direct buyout of competitor
ccall.com, a San Francisco-based company that provides webcasting and
operates StreetFusion, a global online events network.
The combined entity forecasts it will complete over 3,500 webcasts this
quarter. CCBN expects the transaction to close in early October.
Rob Adler, president of CCBN, said both his company and StreetFusion
have 40 people in San Francisco, and that he expects to make a decision
this week as to whether or not the two offices will physically merge.
CCBN also has an office in London, and is headquartered in Boston.
"I think this is a wonderful time for a company with our growth
potential and basic strength to be looking for opportunities to offer
better products and services to our clients," said Adler. "We're always
looking to improve.
