ATLANTA: KEF Media Associates has hired Jay Ariano to the new
position of VP client services. KEF president Kevin Foley said the new
position was created because of business growth, but would not break out
figures.
Ariano will supervise VNRs and SMTs, as well as new business
development.
He will also supervise the company's new media training capability.
Ariano was most recently - and briefly - the director of media at
fledgling agency The Titan Network. Previous to that, he was an account
supervisor at Cohn & Wolfe in Atlanta - from which Titan broke away, led
by CEO Tony DeMartino. Before entering PR, Ariano was a general
assignment reporter for the Fox Network's Atlanta affiliate.
Foley cited Ariano's PR and TV journalism experience as the key factors
that got him the job.
"Customer service is everything," said Ariano. "Without it, you don't
have clients. I'm here to make sure we attain a higher level of service.
I have agency, television, and private company experience. I know what
they want and what they need."
