ATLANTA: Doug Breuer, director of Ketchum Atlanta, has made
staffing cuts in order to restructure office operations and allow the
hire of ten senior management positions.
Breuer has recruited Allan Ulman to lead his shop's corporate
communications practice. Ulman quit as head of Hill &Knowlton Atlanta
last spring, and has been consulting with National Services Industries
in the interim.
Facilitating the hiring bonanza, Breuer cut five jobs in Ketchum
Creative Works, the advertising services division, as well as in the
finance division.
Breuer also replaced three accounting staffers with two financial
analysts assigned to the IBM and Cingular accounts. He is seeking to
fill two more positions to support the branding and technology practice
groups.
Other executive hires include Ken Borough, formerly of
PricewaterhouseCoopers, who joined as SVP of Ketchum Inside, a new
moniker for the agency's workplace communications practice. Laurie
Flatt, formerly with C&W Atlanta, was hired as VP/GM for healthcare.
Stephanie Foxman transferred from the New York office to work as VP/GM
of Cingular. She is joined by Tim Whitehead, recruited from E-Trade, as
a VP of that marquis account. Randy Lewis is the new SVP of the Ketchum
strategic services group.
