ST. LOUIS: The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) has
chosen St. Louis-based Adamson PR as its agency of record. Adamson will
employ the AAO's $1.5 million budget to develop two national
communication and marketing campaigns.
The first initiative will center on increasing awareness about
orthodontic developments, with a special emphasis on the increasing
number of adults that are currently seeking orthodontic treatment. The
campaign will also promote the benefits of, and need for orthodontic
treatment. Nearly five million Americans are currently orthodontic
patients.
Another campaign by the group will seek to remind parents about the
importance of regular orthodontic checkups for children who are under
the age of seven.
In addition to its PR services, Adamson will also create an advertising
campaign and provide sales promotion services for the AAO.
Founded in 1900, the AAO currently boasts over 13,500 members
worldwide.
The group supports research and education for members of the
orthodontistry community. Orthodontists are uniquely qualified to
correct bad bites and provide more specialized services than
dentists.
Established in 1981, Adamson PR's clients include Corona, General Mills,
and Amerinet. It serves more than 40 local, national, and international
clients.
