New York: Dan Klores Communications (DKC) will perform
communications outreach to the families of the 700 deceased employees of
Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm that lost 70% of its employees in the World
Trade Center terrorist attacks.
Financial communications for the bond trading company will remain at
Edelman Worldwide. President and CEO Richard Edelman said there has been
no change to the nature of the retainer agreement.
"It's our job, as it always has been, to devise a very good business
strategy, while Dan Klores will be performing outreach to the families,"
said Edelman.
Klores said he was not yet ready to discuss his plans for the company,
telling PRWeek, "We've just been brought in, and until we figure things
out, there's nothing to say."
Edelman said the two accounts will be distinct, but related. He expected
to touch base with Klores from time to time, since the financial and
personal aspects of the Cantor firm are expected to remain intertwined
for some time to come.
