How long have you been in your job? Three-and-a-half years.
Describe the space you work in We've recently moved, so I now have a
great office with a huge desk. Now, instead of having papers, magazines,
and media kits scattered on my smaller desk, I have three sides to
clutter. I also have a great view for watching lightning storms that
come rolling in. I've been known to give color commentary of the event
on conference calls.
Do you socialize with your colleagues? As much as they'll let me.
How often do you see the boss? As much as he'll stand me. However, I
think he's considering revising that open-door policy.
Who is the smartest person you work with? The president of Environics.
Legend has it he won a Trivial Pursuit game with one turn.
Who is the craziest? It's a toss-up between two women who have
obsessions with their cats, someone who puts new meaning to the term
"dating," and our accountant who organizes her playing cards by
number.
How comfortable are your offices? Aesthetically pleasing, but my
accountant keeps declining my request for a Lay-Z-Boy.
How often are you still there when the cleaners come round? In our new
building, the cleaners don't come around until 7:30-8pm, so fortunately
I've only met them a few times.
What is the best thing about working there? Hands down, the people. I
have an exceptional group of colleagues that crack me up every day.
And the worst thing? Client crises at 4:45pm on Fridays.
What's been your biggest mistake while working there? Telling people
about my mistakes.
And your luckiest break? Starting with our office when there was only
one other person. I could only move up!
What is the biggest thing to hit your office in the past year?
Definitely the move to our new offices. We feel much swankier now.
