NEW YORK: BlinnPR has won a one-year National Park Service RFP, and
will begin work to promote sites within the Northeast region once it
receives its first task order.
New York-based BlinnPR will raise awareness about some of the National
Park Service's surprising assets, which include Federal Hall and Ellis
Island in New York, as well as the Acadia National Park in Maine and
Cape Cod, MA.
The Northeast region encompasses tourist sites from Maine to New
Jersey.
Stephen Blinn, principal of BlinnPR, said that his firm has also picked
up a new account called Miavita, a New York City-based firm backed by
investor Michael Milken.
Miavita promotes healthy living among employees and their families, and
includes such devices as meal and fitness planners. A paid-for program,
employers are encouraged to invest in it for their staff. It is sold to
them on the basis that it will radically cut their companies' healthcare
costs, as its "scientific" programs prevent many ailments.
