LOS ANGELES: Smith Public Relations has been picked by Vivendi
Universal Publishing's new web-based scholastic service - education.com
- to create a national PR campaign introducing the service to parents,
teachers, and children.
The account is valued in the low-to-mid six-figures, and will last one
year with renewal options. SPR will focus on making the company "the
dominant brand" in online educational tools with the formation of an
advisory board, trade show appearances, and media outreach, said SPR
president Steve Smith.
SPR, an independent LA-based PR and marketing firm, beat out 12
competitors for the business.
Education.com launched in both the US and Europe this fall, and seeks to
provide proprietary content to teachers, parents, and children through
locally oriented internet sites.
