Gwyneth Paltrow's got her panties in a twist - or would have, if
she had any on - over a recent photo spread in Bazaar that prominently
features her derriere. The Oscar-winning starlet apparently posed for
naked pictures with celebrity photographer Patrick Demarchelier for the
magazine's November issue, but never intended for her nether regions to
make the glossy's pages.
E! online reports that Paltrow told press junket reporters that
Demarchelier "lied to her, and said he wasn't going to put my whole
bottom in the picture - and he did."
While we're certain her bottom - whole, or in part - would have
attracted media attention on its own, Paltrow's public comments spurred
a media flurry, and prompted statements from both Bazaar and
Demarchelier.
The magazine's release denies that it promised a moon-free pictorial,
and adds that the black-and-white photos are "extremely tasteful and
truly exquisite," while Demarchelier added, "I didn't force her. I asked
her to do some nudes, and she said yes."
Quick to cover his client's behind and highlight her mature assets,
PMK/HBH publicist Stephen Huvane - present at the butt-baring photo
shoot - assured media that Paltrow "takes responsibility - she was
there, and she understands it was her own free will to do that,"
according to E! online.
We applaud Ms. Paltrow's understanding, but would like to point out that
if you wear your undies, they can't take nude photos.
